About the Course
This course covers
- Router Networking and IP Protocols
Learn how TropOS® and SuprOS® use specific, standard Internet Protocol (IP) functions and how routers will use certain of these IP functions to communicate among routers, client data end points, and with SuprOS at the network operations center. Topics include: Layered Architectures, routing versus switching, Private versus Public addresses, and how the routers will use these in standard ways across the network.
- RF and Router Radio Basics
Wireless communication is a complex and sophisticated networking enabler. In this section we will discuss the benefits, limitations, and physics associated with wireless networking – and how TropOS radios will use wireless standards (and proprietary protocols) to enhance data communications. Topics will include: transmission and propagation, six wireless challenges to overcome, how the routers will compensate for outdoor hostile environments, and views of the future of other outdoor-enabled communications alternatives.
